Considering using Wyrestorms Network HD (the current jpeg2000 based system, not the new 'not-yet-released H.264 system') product in a residential install to upgrade existing (PVID) component video distribution to digital.

Client has twelve sources (ten in rack + two local)  and three displays. Crestron DM16x16 chassis + I/O Cards + RMCs is probably overkill and frankly out of their upgrade budget.

I don't need any control at display end - these will be Sony Pro range which are (I believe) IP controllable over the LAN link that we already have there. Local sources are Kaleidescape players which are again IP controlled.

Each display has 4x Cat6 behind it, so no probs with using a dedicated network for the IP Video streams.

So, anyone have any experience with this product that can make me feel as happy about using it as their rep does?

What do you mean you wanted it on the other wall - couldn't you have mentioned this when we prewired?
