Autonomic installed a new firmware hotfix today on the MMS 2A. Resolved the issue with Pandora volume reducing between tracks. This was the second unit I was testing with this problem. Are we sure no one else had these issues?

I'm having a heck of a time with Pandora streaming on these things. The first one I sent back to Autonomic. The second one does the same thing...

Choose a Pandora station, first song plays fine. The second song starts and I hear the first few notes and then the volume drops down about 50%.

I have worked with their support folks but never a resolution.

This is a paid Pandora account BTW.

Now the volume indicator on the iPad app does not change, only the volume of the music.

Same thing happens if I pause the music and then hit play again. Volume drops about 50%. I hit volume up once, it jumps back up to where it was.

This happens from the desktop app and all IOS devices.

I'm using the analog outputs into an adcom 2-channel amp. My SONOS system works fine BTW. I have tried several Pandora accounts, same behavior.

Is there a setting that I cannot find?

TIA

I was listening Pandora on an MMS for at least 1/2 the day today without any issues. What kind of network gear are you using and what kind of network speeds are you seeing?

Is it an MMS2, or an MMS2A? The MMS2A is slightly better internally and is rack mountable, but I've still had a few issues with steaming on a few that we have in the wild. Most times a firmware update will fix it but sometimes the database gets corrupted and you'll need Autonomics support to delete it to fix, (under the hood, it's really just a windows computer). Recently I've been having airplay issues with the newest fw on the 2A's. We don't use Pandora much as I'm up in Canada, but on occasion I'll use a client's US Pandora account with a DNS forwarder and in those cases I haven't had issues other the database problem..

It's a MMS2A. Very frustrating. I'll be listening and then there will be nothing. I have to go into the app and hit the volume up, then music comes back.

I was listening to Pandora again on the 2A for several hours yesterday without any drops.
