I have read through search results that go back years, nothing to help with this model, though I am intrigued with the idea of a "Master List of Codes". Unicorn dreams... :)

If anyone can help, most immediately the curvy 78 incher, let me know, please, the Smart TV control is causing them tons of grief that is currently directed at me.

what code set have you tried that did not work?
not that it matters to me (us?) what remote control system do you plan to implement?

OBCs are one byte, so there are only 256 possible codes. Probably would take half an hour to make your own master list, even if you didn't skip the 50 or so already known codes. I'll even give you a hint to get started: NECx2 7.7

I was planning on a URC MX 880, with wireless. I have had good results in the past with this system.

I looked at the discreet codes for Samsung devices and found 37 TV models but nothing for this series of TV.

I have not put in any control system yet for a "smart" UHD Samsung, the interface box is new to me. I have read it will not respond to rs232, but I supposedly have a new list coming from Samsung support anyway, just to experiment with.

The TV responds to the generic Samsung Discrete codes. The IR sensor is located on the bottom right of the panel. I placed my IR bug in the seam between the frame and the screen.
You can't fix stupid

This may be a duplicate, I thought I posted it but might have left the page.

Thanks for this info, I had been led astray, told that the new smart tvs with interface box needed new discreet IR codes.

I will find a test vehicle to try on that big screen, and see what happens!

After more than an hour on phone to Samsung tech. last night I finally got my email from them this afternoon. A nice document, with lots of code data for all TVs through the 2013 models. They then state that after 2011, their TVs no longer accept rs232 serial data input commands. This follows what the installers here had mentioned.

Anyway, I'm going to give it a go soon as I can.

Thanks Bruce

Wireless is cool.

Why not 890?

On a serious note, the codes have been the same for years. Especially on/off.

On another note, dont use the Smart capabilities of the TVs. It causes the same issues as switching any other inputs (control system delays, ARC, etc) plus more. Your TV should be a display....thats it. All the other features are for kids in a dorm room with more time and technical knowledge on their hands than than our clients. If you are getting blamed for something its probably this and maybe rightfully so for not controlling the experience. You have to be able to say no to client requests and its easy when you can explain why. Add an Apple TV or Roku instead. Always better as a source.

890 sounds good with charging cradle. I can add a "listen" button to main page.

Shock, with an actual signal, my Complete Control auto-update found this model. Had not run it for a long while.

BTW, in addition to cable box I put in an Apple TV along with a new Sony BluRay, -an existing LG BlueRay is still there as a backup, (Sonys seem to forget themselves more often).

Your client advice is dead on and I was dead wrong to let them put off this purchase!
