We just installed a new slide out rack into an existing cabinet but in order for it to fit we had to remove the door hinges. We got approval to to stick the door back on with a magnet or something else.

Does anyone have an idea where I could get something similar to the below link but smaller or recommend something else? I only have the face of where the door would sit to secure it.

Does the door need to routinely open and close?

This looks smaller. Call 'em. Oops, it's Friday night...........

This requires a certain overlap, maybe as much as 3/4" (damn, I hate it when vendors don't tell you the size*) all around. If it won't work, what exactly are the sizes of what you're dealing with? Maybe there's a different approach that can work.

A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

How far from the front of the rack is the back of the door when it's closed? If it's ON the rack, why not mount the door on the rack and use the pull or handle to open it?

That will take some precision to get magnets exactly right.

Any chance simple low profile adjustable (change door position slightly) hinges would work, instead of the ones that are there?

Pic would help, as would a cabinet maker.

I like this idea.

Maybe make it even more custom and hinge the door on the rack.

That way you can pull the rack out and rotate to get to the back of the equipment, or you can "open" the door to get to the front of the equipment.

Might take a bit more work, but it most definitely should impress.

My iPad won't let me link websites right now... So I can't give you actual links. But Google search "barrel hinge". "Concealed soss hinge".

Lastly. Go to rocker.com and search "hinge". All kinds of things pop off

What type of cabinet is it? Is there a face frame and the door is over it or is it a flush style door where it's flat with the face frames?
