I have tried to control a RCA DLP TV via IR Repeater System and using an IR emitter. The only way this will work is if I put the emitter right in the middle of the screen. Has anyone tried this or have any ideas besides opening the case and putting an emitter inside directly on the IR receiver in the TV. Thanks in advance for all your help

Thanks Guys, I think I will put it inside the display.

lots of new rear pro fixed pixel displays have the ir receiver in the screen use a more powerfull emiter and mount further back in the room in a wall or ceiling where the emiters ir radius can effect the tv.

Blast emitter placed inside the display! You may need to play with it to find the exact location that works and which does not make the emitter visable on the screen.

I second the blaster inside the display. I've had to do this a few times. Open the back of the cabinet and mount the blaster on one side of the cabinet with the blaster facing inwards. That should do the trick. Be careful opening the TV, as it will probably void the warranty.

I actually took mine apart to do this. I have the HDLP50W151. You will see Many screws along the back edge of the screen case to remove The projection screen is moved or shifted over to the left after the case is apart. If you look down into the light engine you will see a small IR window near the base, where the lens is. I had placed a normal 283 or similar Xantech emitter onthe right side, inside the TV, facing the IR window.. A small groove was cut with my razor knife to create a slot where the wire would exit the case seam.
BTW, great picture when it works.
I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.
