There's plenty of info out about this guy now. I've noticed that a lot of folks from Europe really seem desperate to downplay the GT. Super-cars have been one of the things that Europe could stand up and say that they dominate, and it must be uncomfortable to see some of the stuff that has been happening in the US lately. It does get mixed reviews because it really is a track car still, and of course folks can't get over the 6 cylinder engine.
Anyhoo, how about the new Apollo IE, which looks like it's going to be a seriously radical car:
I don't like it. Front looks too aggressive, top fin looks ugly, there is no place for license plate and don't get me started about getting in and out of the car.
Don't take me wrong, I would take one if they gave it to me, but as a practical car this one fails. I know, I know, it's not a daily driver. It's for rich people to buy it, have it drop shipped and parked in a museum. blah
The Mclaren 720s? Completely crazy car. A client has the 650s, he said at 90 in 3rd gear he can make the ass end come around.
Not me, this business isn't getting me rich. My lease is up in January, may consider an S4, stripped down is good enough for me, they are offering $2k to switch brands, might be doable.

For those wondering Matt got a 720s, his R8 is gone.
So yes to confirm, the Audi will be gone on Monday (things got pushed back a few days to install the McLaren Sports Exhaust).
I would have loved to pick up a Ford GT, but being a show pony for a manufacture and auditioning to get a vehicle, no thanks! Maybe if I had a Youtube channel.
With that said, the 720s will be an interesting change of pace.
I'm guessing practicality is the last thing on the minds of the folks designing the IE. It's one of those cars (as so many top end ones are these days) that really is only appropriate for the track, but it's far too pretty and rare to actually take to the track and risk destroying it. So many of these cars these days are limited editions as well; so, if you destroy it, you can never replace it (or maybe one of the folks who bought one and put it in a garage will be happy to sell it to you for twice the original price.)

I'm curious Matt.
How crazy is the insurance?
My 69 Vette was all of $125.00 a year. The 2010 LSV EVE (golf cart) was a LOT more, and it's top speed was 20MPH (supposedly).
Honestly, I haven’t looked at the rate closely. I have it bundled with Hagerty, who’s been great with all of the exotics and collector cars. I can tell you that the policy in total isn’t inexpensive, but neither is the value of the collection.
Congrats! Does it still have the Ford strings attached or can you do what you want?
And Thanks for all of the in depth Denon training!
My understanding is that the terms and conditions were with the original owner. With that said, it will be a long term hold and I hope to add an 05’/06’ in the years to come.
