Anyone used this product from Dymo? Only $149. It's come up as a potential product of the year. Comments? Any other favorite labelers?
thanks

There's another post which mentions this and another Dymo labeler. I saw them at the show and they sure looked nice for the money.

The upcoming model 3000 is more tailored to residential installers, but it's not been released yet. The 5000 is designed for the pro guys.

I read this thread, went to the link, bought it, and gave it to my guys.

They love it, and sent me back to buy two more...

They said they prefer the "Permanent Polyester" labels to the ones that come with it...

Also found that in a pinch the T&B cartridge will fit and work...

We use the Dymo Letratag... why? because:

1. It's only $20.00 at Walmart so it's there when you forget yours at the shop.

2. It's only $20.00.

3. It beats using Mr. Sharpie.

For real, we beat these things to death and I can't see spending $150 on one when I can blow through 8 of the Letratags.

In another job, I used the Brady Pro. When the company closed, I ebayed it for $500. I kick myself every week for getting rid of it. We now use the Rhino. The Rhino has Polyester tape but other than that can't really hold a candle to the Brady. The Brady had all the different labels available - mainly preshaped jack labels, square labels with rounded edges, mettalic security labels, etc. - also it prints in color. I'd never go back to non Poly labels though.....

Eric,
Years ago when I tried that $20 Dymo Walmart labeler, it sucked - the labels would never stay stuck to the cables, they would always come off after a few days or a few weeks. Have they improved the glue on those labels?

I've been using the Brady ID Pal labeler for almost 2 years now, only have had a few problems with some label cassettes from time to time and that's it - works great.
