We use the Yamaha musicCast and i need to convert the hex supplyed on there website to get the descreet codes i need mostly power on/off

[Link: yamaha.com]

i can input them into the sonance ir lib manager and then save it but i cant open the file w/ any other progam ie pronto 4, mx3000, mx800 editors.

Cant find a way to input it into the pronto editor. then save to .ccf then universal browser on the mx800/3000 to inport?

what am i doing wrong?

Question #2
I have B&O codes that i Downsteped to40mhz and they work out of the mx800 but i am unable to get the niles Gloria to reproduce the codes so they work.

my plan was to use the mx3000 editor to adjust the Freq further.
buuut......... i cant just inport or open the mxf files into the mx3000 editor

Please help, i must be missing something

Thanks
Dave

I use ProntoEdit4 for this and here is how:
1. Open up a new pronto file.
2. Add as many devices as you need.
3. Add as many panels as you need.
4. Create the buttons you want
5. Double click a button or press "ins" to get the button properties.
6. Click "Set IR"
7. Click "Show IR" and a window opens up for you to paste the hex. Click OK
8. Click the Properties Tab and click name. Type the name you want (p-on, p-off, vid1, etc) and use simple labels because the universal editor in the MX software doesn't recognize many symbols at all. Finally set the font size and you are done.
9. Save as a .CCF
10. Open the .CCF using the universal editor in MX land. Click on the device you want under devices and you will find your panels. Then you just drag the learned IR from the universal editor to the button on the MX-800 you want to trigger it.

Hope that helped.

Oh, and copying and pasting the hex from the RTI library manager into the Pronto Software works too.

The real question is when is Universal's software going to allow for direct import of a hex code?

I forgot to ask them at CEDIA. Does anyone have insight?

Yes it does, but only the ir code. This is the same on MX3000.

I was able do to as the athesit suggested and it apears to work, BUT.......

The musicCast wont respond. I beleve i need to do the V.3 update on it so that it will work.

The data shows up as learned Ir.

JMK, Where can you input the IR code in universal software's?

Atheist, Thanks.
