I have a potential client comparing Ademco versus the 2Gig security system.

Anyone have any experiences with 2Gig?

I'm a big Honeywell/Ademco fan but if I need to get "schooled" on an alternative I'm all ears.

Thanks.

Not many problems. There are a few duds here and there but nothing out of the ordinary for a product manufactured at that volume and cost.

The systems I've installed and programmed went pretty smoothly and any time i had to call 2gig tech support they resolved the problem quickly.

Does 2Gig integrate well with 3rd party control systems?

2gig doesn't integrate now. Their GC3 panel coming out this summer will integrate via IP.

We don't talk about vaporware. I saw a prototype 7" touchscreen panel from them at CEDIA in Indianapolis that was supposed to have IP and RS232 integration 3 years ago. Still no panel. Still no local IP cam NVR. Still no USB camera to plug into the panel.

2gig is a standalone system.

All true. Ademco, Interlogix, HAI, Elk all have good integration. Napco, too, through the cloud. First c4 SDDP security partner.

But would the lighting loads show up on the CG3 GUI? Or just on the alarm.com app ?

Napco's new Control4 interface is still in Beta. I know because we just tried to do one, and now we're taking it out.

Does it have 2 wire smoke loop support yet? Thats why I stuck with Honeywell. Doing a changeover saying "You'll need to swap out your 13 smoke detectors"....

Hmmm ... what didn't you like about it? Btw, Elk and DMP now have SDDP.
