I need the discrete ON command for the new Pana plasma's.
I seem to remember a post some time ago indicating this difficulty,
however when I attempted to find it for a refresher, I was unable
to locate. Anyone discovered the discrete ON. The codes listed
on "discrete codes" pages work EXCEPT for ON.

They dont seem to exist. You can find many threads talking about peoples frustration with Panny Customer Support etc. But they dont seem to exist. Only work around is a Discrete Off, then the Power Toggle

With great fear and trepidation, I began programming a Xantech on Saturday, with a Panasonic plasma and Panasonic DVD/VCR combo.

Much to my delight and surprise, this plasma from 2002 supported discrete on. The newer one I tried before that did not work.

The typical workarounds for the DVD/VCR were successful as well. Whew!

Now for the Teac receiver...AARGH! Upgrade coming, I hope!!
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.
