Sending good energy.

If you or anyone in your family just wants to talk, I am open.
Ive been dealing with a rare level 4 cancer with my son for 14 months and it can be trying.
There will be times that the dark looks beyond dark and it appears that no roads lead to hope. That is just a feeling and eventually you overcome it.
I know there is a lot of pain and doctors always talk in a language of worse case.
That's just what they are trained to do.
Like I said bro, If you want to talk.

Thanks. I was thinking about you while sitting here the other day. I knew you have been going through all of this. I cannot imagine what you and your family have been through. I hope things are looking up for your son and entire family.

The doctors have been nothing short of incredible here. Not just their performance but their demeanor as well. The nursing staff as well. EVERYONE has been amazing. Her surgeon came in on his day off (not on call or anything) to check on her. They really have been amazing.

Thank you all for your support and prayers. It is with a heavy heart that I inform you of her passing. She had been doing well after her last surgery but took a turn for the worse yesterday when she started to bleed internally. Too weak to survive another surgery, there was nothing doctors could do. The decision was made to take her off the life support machines and meds and just give her pain meds till she passed. I am heartbroken.

Thanks guys. She has dedicated her life to taking care of others as a mother, aunt, grandmother, and for over 30 years as a school nurse taking care of other people's kids. Her name is Nancy.

My condolences to your family Mike. As you've stated, Nancy was a very giving person and I'm glad you were able to enjoy her kindness and impact on you and your wife. I will pray for peace and healing to your family.

To clarify, even though I called her my mother in law, my fiancee and I are not yet married. We have been together for over 8 years though and I considered her my mother in law. She made me feel like part of the family from very early on. Our wedding was scheduled for June 6th but we postponed it. We very likely will cancel it and just do something small now. Without her mom there, it would not be the same or feel right.

So sorry to hear the news, she has been through a lot in the past little bit and is resting peacefully now.

When the time is right choose to celebrate the life, not the passing, sounds like she is a fantastic being.

Big hug you and the fiancé from our family.

My condolences to you and your family. Cancer just plain sucks!!! My family has lost many loved ones to this dreaded disease. How old was your mother in law?

It's nice to hear how considerate the Doctors and staff are. They go through this everyday, and to still be compassionate to each and every patient and family is truly amazing.

My condolences as well.

I've been there, all to recently, and I'm sure many here have also.

Many of us say things that just don't seem to "fit", but please do understand that all of us are feeling your loss.
