If we're talking about the desk grommets, no inspector that I know of would approve their use in steel framing. I don't believe the notched flexible nylon grommeting strips are approved for the use either, which is an NEC requirement.

You can get the stud grommets at Home Depot or Graybar. They are usually yellow or red colored. They fit the normal steel stud holes or a punched or drilled hole that is 1 3/4 inches. Any electrical supply should carry them.
