I need to replace an old Fujitsu (finally) that's currently sharing a Genie Client with a bath TV with a component video splitter. I'd like to use the HDMI on the new display and component to the bath TV. Both will "most likely" never be on at the same time, if that matters.
In an earlier post someone mentioned that the TV getting the component will get a "message" of some type, but it didn't say what.
Also, will the digital coax output work as well?

I dont have an answer, but why not just add a Genie client and tuck behind the bath TV?
