What's your current, ~$200 BD player with Netflix?

The last few units I used were Panasonic DMP-BDT220.
Other than stupid shape, and exit command that didn't work from URC database and had to be leaned, I haven't ran into any issues.
The direct Netflix discrete button was nice.

I'm getting ready to replace client's failed BD unit and she's asking for recommendations. URC CCP will be utilized on this job.

Before Mike tells me to use Roku [Link: remotecentral.com], I still need BD for disk playback.

I'm not opposed to using Roku, but not sure if the client will approve $1K upgrade on this JAP install.

The even more unfriendly and silly designed Sony Bh5200.
It works. But why do I have to teach someone how to load a disc?

BTW, the Pioneer Elite DVD player is not worth it. I had high hopes.
I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

We use the LG BP540 a lot. It has discreet everything and an easy return home button. Auto power offs, quick start, easy home screen navigation, etc. ~60 in the wild with 2 DEF's only.
how in the hell does ernie make money?

If you must stay in the 200 dollar range you, in my opinion, should use a player with a proper chassis such as the Sony BDP-S7200. Currently on sale with an MSRP of 299.

I have a 5200. Have to do a hard re-boot weekly.

Honestly they all suck. Elite, Denon, Sony, Samsung... I have had some luck with LG. I never use them for streaming services, its just that they all die...a bunch of consumable pieces. If I were buying for my house it would be OPPO.

Indeed. That's all we sell/install anymore. If someone wants a player, they get that or nothing at all. Far better experience overall, even if you only factor in the disc load times. I was at someone's house the other week and they had a Panasonic...the time it took to load the disc was ridiculous; I would never wait for a movie on that thing, which is exactly what they said.

Ive had the best luck with LG out of everything. I don't have access to Oppo but have had good results with Marantz but they are much pricier than other options.

Denon and Pio are metal and not much better. More expensive but not better which I hate to say. Their receivers are great. DVD players are an after thought anymore with too much crap loaded on them.

Every $200 player I have tried is crap. OPPO or nothing. If your not an OPPO dealer you can still buy them direct from OPPO at retail. Its not like your going to make any money on a $200 BD anyway.

What URC codeset has discrete power for an LG BP340? I used 350 which came up for that model, but it looked like toggle.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.
