What's the best option at present...Needs to be small, reliable and highly configurable. Does NOT need Wi-Fi...Using WAPs.

Apple AirPort Express will give you gigabit and small. Many other travel routers are 10/100 or discontinued.

TIA We moved to the Cisco RV180 from Pakedge routers at 1/5 the cost and have never looked back.

I can easily understand someone wanting more configuration options from an AirPort Express/Extreme, but to call them garbage is pretty ridiculous. The requirement was small and it would be pretty challenging if not impossible to find a smaller router including PSU that matches the specs of the AirPort Express.
