Does anyone know of 15-20 inch LCD that can be turn itself on when power is applied. There were some Toshiba RPTV's had a "hotel mode" that would do this. I know there are plenty of way's to turn on the LCD (use the remote that came with it for example) but if it came on when we gave it power that would be best.

The Sharp Aquous televisions retain the power status when they lose AC. You can externally switch the power on or off, even with a common wall switch if you want to. They also have excellent reliability and a pretty good picture for LCD-- probably better than any other brand. Avad is a pretty good source for a good price.
