C4 Lighting Question

The last house I worked at that had a C4 system had about 20 switches in the equipment room that controlled all the loads that were controlled by either keypads or timers. Had plenty of room in there for a panel, but for some reason did not use one.

Probably wasn't panelized lighting certified, not that it's hard to get!

In training I remember vividly the picture that was painted from our trainer on why not todo that.

Zigbee hell...

I think there is still a unjustified fear about panelized lighting...I know cause I am just getting over it as we work through our first Vantage InFusion system in our showroom.
