Is there a good security camera system that uses thumbnails when you search for motion activated video clips from the past? One of my pet peeves is when there is just a list of date/times and/or it just shows a timeline with a different color to indicate motion was captured.
Takes forever to go through all the dates when a thumbnail would help narrow a search down very quickly.
Incidentally, the DropCam is killer for this. A search of motion activated video clips shows a long list of clips that actually all play simultaneously, showing a mini-view of the action that was caught for each even. I love it. Unfortunately DropCam doesn't do outdoor cameras.
Any other manufacturers offer something similar? These would most likely be IP network cameras I'd be using - outdoor and hopefully with drivers available for Control4 - I would forgo that Control4 part for the right product though.
TIA

Check out Blue Iris to see if the latest version has what you need: http://blueirissoftware.com/It's software only and supports a ton of cameras. The latest version has a new timeline feature that might be what you want.
