I did a search on this and coulld not find any info. Is it possible to turn on via remote control using the input buttons? Works from the unit itself. Customer supplied Onkyo TX-NR626.

Using the input commands, you mean? Pretty sure this works. What's the use case?

Well no, it does not work with OE remote. Any work around using URC remote?

If input commands on OEM remote do not turn it on, I would not expect you will have any other options.

There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

I guess I was thinking of Integra (& Denon) which do power on with input selection.

My preferred workaround would be to use discrete power commands.

I know Pioneer has commands for input select and input select with power on. You had to download the hex codes from their website. You'd have to see if Onkyo offers the same.

Thanks for your help. I sure appreciate the Yamaha scene buttons.
