My Denon avr-1912 zone 2 speakers stopped working. Didn't use zone 2 for over six months and wh e I tried them again no sound came out. I have been using zone 1 every day and nothing is wrong with zone 1.
Is there a reset method? Also, my zone 2 speakers are outside speakers on our covered patio.

6 months, chipmunks might have dined on the speaker wire in that amount of time. Check that first along with amp assignment in the setup menu before doing a microprocessor reset.

Could be anything, try hooking them to zone 1 just to make sure they work. Then work backwards, check your connections, settings, etc....
Did you out the system in or did you hire someone?

Have hooked them to zone 1 so know the speakers and wiring are good. Thanks for helping. It must be something with the zone 2 amp since it worked before and I did not change any of the settings.

What Fred is alluding to is: The AVR1912 does not play digital audio connections in zone 2 (no transcoding). Has to be analog connected for zone 2 playback. If you are trying to use a source that is hooked up with a digital audio connection and no analog is connected, you will not get sound to zone 2. Just to test, try playing the FM tuner on zone 2 and see if you get sound.

Thanks guys. That was it. My cable company switched everything over to digital months back. I didn't realize zone2 was analog only. Connected the analog cables and it works now.
Thanks for the timely help. Much appreciated!

Aw, heck, I wanted a good chipmunk story.
Glad you got it working, though!
