Why do you recomend/use for large format printing/ploting? Looking for larger than 18" prints - 24" mins.

My dad uses the DesignJet 815mfp...he loves it, but uses the hell out of it to justify the costs..

Jaws, if you're looking for renderings from D-Tools for your drawings, try your local blueprint shop.

Rocky Mountain Bluprint does ours for $1.00 a set...

Ya, Im looking to keep it in house. Im willing to spend $1500. for a setup. I dont think i need color, but the roll and stand options would be nice.

I used a HP DesignJet 350C for years, still have it, use it occasionally.

In my limited experience, Large-Format printers, be they pen plotters or ink jet, are among the MOST fickle and tempermental machines in the world. But the HP DesignJet series is well-made, time-tested, and with a lot of basic TLC, a fine machine.
