I haven't done one in forever! Client wants to be able to watch from another room so I am looking for the best option that is able to go 90 degrees. Panel is a 50" Sony
Thanks ,
Scott

For a full 90 swing, a single arm mount might be better.

Peerless pla50 will do it. That's a 55 in the picture.

The Chief ts325? Just put a 46 on one today, did not try 90, do not think so?
At least not as easily as the pla50. Maybe I did not try hard enough?

Both mounts are flexible on mounting location left/right.
Both weigh more than the TV.
The Chief has more adjustments and is WAY thinner, the Peerless will add about 6" depth!

You didn't qualify the Sony. Is it plasma? You may need the strength of this mount.

Ignore the cabling, not completed.

Chief ts325tu with Samsung un46h7150

Not going 90 degrees
And it's a bit of a struggle to turn it this far.

Shift the TV so it's not centered- if it's LCD/LED, it won't be heavy enough to cause it to go off of level due to weight. If you do this, you'll be able to go to 90 degrees and still have space between the edge of the TV and the wall. The other potion is to shift the whole mount to the right (as you look at the wall) and that will make it easier to go to 90 degrees because you can pivot the left arm so it's closer to the other. That alone will allow 90 degrees.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."

FWIW:

I suggest you measure the distance from the wall to the center of the TV at 90 Degrees + depth of the mount. If the ts325tu doesn't extend far enough, you'll need a different mount.

Chief ts325tu extends 25"

Chief PDRUB extends 37"

Maybe there is a model between these. The PDRUB will not go as close to the wall when retracted.
