Any recomendations for an ipad replacement? There are no apple only features on the ipad I need so another brand is fine. Many of you have seen my post of what the latest apple update has done. A little searching has shown this has happened to countless people. I have many old windows machines I can still turn on and type as fast as I want. Latest ipad issue is typing then have the letters show up about 5 behind. Ipad size is good, just use it for email, bill pay and my own RTIpanel. Thanks.

The last few iOS updates range from incredibly annoying to blow my brains out bad. One thing you can try (if you haven't already) is to factory restore the iPad and manually add your apps and other data back.

My iPhone6 was giving me a lot of grief (daily lock ups and random reboots) for the first couple of weeks until i finally bit the bullet and started fresh. Since then my iPhone6 works just fine.

My iPad3 never really gets much personal use. I only use it for work. Aside from the ugly flat UI design and the transitional animations that make things take longer...it has been fine.

RTIpanel rules out windows as far as i know. You seem done with the iPad so i would look at Asus transformers.
Avid Stamp Collector - I really love 39 Cent Stamps

I have a surface pro. I really like it but the click in keyboard seems to have crapped out on me. The one I have has full Windows so I can install virtual panel on it.

Had an ASUS TF201. Camera crapped out twice (kmown issue). I used the tablet to get familiar with android, rooting, etc. It finally gave out.

I now have the LG 8.3 tablet and love the size versus rhe 10 inch tablets. I bought the GPE (google play edition) instead of the LG version primarily because google pushes the latest android updates to these and their nexxus products consistently and quickly. Other manufacturers may significantly delay or completely skip android updates. I believe google supports their product cycles a little longer until they believe the hardware will not properly support the new software. Learning to root and install different android ROMs was interesting but I don't want it on a production device.

Hope this helps.

Went from iPad 3 to a Samsung note 8.0

Won't go back to iPad.

Those were the days. And it always worked. Rebooting it it was quick too. Not seeing alot of similar recommendations other than people seem to be walking away from apple.

Yup. So many people are walking away from apple. They are obviously doomed.
