I bought the IR 20 from universal remote and its worked perfectly to me. I had to get an IR remote because all my equipment in the closet behind the tv.
The remote worked with AT&T but since then I had to switch to Comcast and I cannot find the code to make the DCX 3400 work my IR 20 remote
I tried all the codes in the manual as well as others I have found online but no luck. Do any of you fine people have a code that will work or solutions how to make this work?

There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions. |

There is nothing special about that box, it should be using the standard silver Comcast remote. Which is the standard Comcast IR code set.
If you have went thru all the Comcast code sets and all the Motorola code sets, then there is something else wrong. Need more info on your setup - you said the equipment is in a closet behind the TV. Are you using an IR repeater system? An RF base station? What the heck is a URC IR20? Did you mean RF20 remote?

I have a repeater box in the closet and out of that comes the wires that attack to the front of my cable box and DVD player
The IR remote works fine with the DVD and the Television but not the cable box
and yes I have tried all the codes from Comcast and Motorola. I even did each code from 000-400 one at a time to try to make it work

Have you called URC?
Do you have X1 service? The old URC remotes do not have X1 codes in their database. If you do have X1, your only options I think would be to try and learn the codes if your remote supports it or upgrade to a newer remote with a newer database.
