Smart man! I don't buy his products though. (currently using Ixos)
Do a Jay-Walk in Anytown USA and ask people who makes the best a/v cables.
What do you blow your nose on? A tissue? Not in the USA. We blow our noses on a Kleenex. Monster has a ways to go for that level of branding. "Alright we have the components where we want them, Monster them up."
Our friends across the pond Hoover their rugs. Good job Hoover!

There's obviously more money in manufacturing those things then there is in retailing them!

Interesting article but I wonder how Monster Cable will manage to make it clear that Monster Park stands for Monster Cable and not Monster.com.
I can see this as a good marketing investment for Monster Cable but the list of other suitors was interdssting. Oracle for one. Do they really need to raise their brand awareness to baseball fans? Is the IT guy as a fortune five hundred company going to go to the game and say "hey, you know what, I'm going to go with that Oracle database after all".

Noel just wanted better seats the the 49ers games.....
More [Monster] Power to the guy......
Advertising is all about recognition..... Would Oracle Stadium help Oracle? You bet..... Macromedia is the strange one on that list..... But it would certainly build their name. ANd a lot of times theres more value in the Name than the Product.

Better than, "BOSE Wave Stadium" After which, they subsequently copywrite the word "stadium".

Actually Q, the Giants play their baseball at SBC park... the 49ers are the only pro sports tenants at "Monster".
I use Tributaries but I have to give Noel a lot of credit for being one aggressive SOB. Up here he's been known to write checks for a company's entire inventory of wire and cable to sign them up.

Keep in mind that Monster is only 3 or 4 miles from Candlestick - and one of the other suiters was Virgin! Talk about your contradictions - Virgin Park would be the only virgin in the city...

Better than, "BOSE Wave Stadium" They knew if they did that, grounders wouldn't go all the way down to the ground, and both pop flys and home runs would'nt go as high as they had before.
