With the exception of college, I've lived my whole life in San Diego... Outdoor audio is a 365 deal here. Snow? We've seen it on TV.

Over the past year, I've set up several outdoor systems for friends and family who live in winter climates. So here's the question... Rock speakers ok in the snow? Bag em? Bring them in? Send the south for the winter?
I'm Not an engineer, but I play one on TV.
My handle is Tweety but I have nothing to do with the organization of similar name. I just had a really big head as a child so folks called me tweety bird.

If you use another brand, it's not that tough to go put a leaf bag over it in the fall as part of the normal "put away the hoses, rake the leaves" type of chores.

I installed Rockustics at the Ritz in Bachelors Gulch, pretty extreme conditions.

I bought a cheap pair of rock speakers at Lowe's in 1999. They get used a lot in our back yard. I live in central Illinois. We get all weather extremes. The speakers still work just fine. Have installed Niles rock speakers in customer's back yards. Only one pair has failed. Niles replaced them under the lifetime warranty. Customer had to pay to ship the defectives back. I still got to charge labor to do the exchange.

Rockustics installed in Chicago and Pittsburgh. Survived sub zero weather in both places. Even survived an 80 ft Oak tree falling on it in a microburst in a Chicago project.

I would bet I would get a nasty phone call about that if it ever snowed here.
I am a trained professional..... Do not attempt this stunt at home.
