Glad is not a pissing match. Im in Goldens boat. Im not having these same issue. now older 780 screens going bad,,,,,different story.

Ive found the Total Control line to be extremely stable. couple reboots a year, thats it. But, my pc, thats a couple times a month lol.

Not saying there werent problems with DMS-AV. Those had alot of bad nics.

My understanding of a two year warranty was because it was requested for a few years as we complained about the cost vs. warranty and what the competition offers. Ive never had a DMS-1200, DMS-100, TKP-2000, TKP-100, MFS anything or MRX-20 fail (the list is longer). Only hand helds and one DMS-AV fail to point of return.

I'm not saying the product is bad. We use is all of the time. This is not a slam fest. I am going to accurately report my experiences though, and with the product, it's been tough. I'm actually going out to replace a failed zr2 next week. At least the uz1 didn't go, too. I'm glad you all aren't having product failures.

I have newfound respect for our newest tech. He's a personal friend of one of our other techs (who I wholeheartedly trust) but damn.

He had never touched TC. I explained to him over the phone kinda sorta how I thought the MFS switches (there were 2, one was POE, one was not) were supposed to get hooked up, asked him to take a final inventory on all the parts sitting in the rack, and get back to me and we'd look at it tomorrow.

He called me a couple hours later and had the whole system working - everything except Pandora (most likely because of account credentials).

Awesome!

I know, right? lol

So... how do you set the Pandora account? Or "where" do you set it is probably a better question.

With the snp1, click Tools and you'll see the SNP1 setup tab

You can also log on screen if you hook up the component cables, right?

I actually have to go back and look. It's been so long since I've done an SNP-1, considering airplay or a sonos piece do the same (and more) for a fraction of the price.

They do not do the same thing. Neither gives you control through TC interfaces (now that EV module is not available and URC hasn't released their own yet). The SNP interface is very easy for a non tech person. If the goal of TOTAL CONTROL is to give them TOTAL CONTROL in one interface, then an SNP is the best option. The SNP2 is faster then the old unit which is nice.

You can use an app called "Air Music" to play an iOS device thru SNP1/2.

Joe,
I have an SNP-2 on my Total Control System. How can I use this app you mentioned through my system?

Thanks!

Well. That's good to hear. However, it doesn't mean the issues aren't happening.

Hell, of our last 5 shipments of Sony XBRs, 3 were broken on arrival. What are the chances? It was hard to believe on the third one.

From what I heard about the packing Sony used, the chance of those TVs being damaged is about 100%.
My mechanic told me, "I couldn't repair your brakes, so I made your horn louder."
