Is anyone aware of a zoned controller that allows custom tone control (or equalizer) settings for each input device? (Yes, I could place a separate equalizer behind each input device, but the explosion of boxes would scare the customer to death.)

Matrix Audio Designs let you control the gain and input attenuation, as well as bass and treble for each zone.

Yes they have the regular input compensation for all the sources and they also have the eq/tone controls for each zone, but they real cool thing is the ability not just to change the eq by the source, but changing the eq based on what SONG is playing on each source.

The Polk Audio IP Distribution speakers also have this ability.

buzz,

lots of multi-zone equipment offers this...you just have to dig to find some of it in their manuals...

I believe the niles gloria and bob, the russound cav products, and etc...offer basic tone control....I know the B&K CT series has EXTENSIVE control, and of course Elan, AMX and Crestron have ALL the tweaks...

what IS the budget anywho?
