There's a market for these... I just installed the carbon fiber case with chrome pedestal for a client two weeks ago.

The fit and finish on the case and pedestal is good (Pedestal quality is great), but I actually expected them to be a little nicer considering how expensive they are. The case is just a standard plastic LaunchPort case with an overlay.
The ball shaped pedestal is quite large, but a neat looking piece compared to the standard LaunchPort BaseStation.
I wouldn't own one for the simple fact that with my income it doesn't seem like a good value, but for wealthy client's looking for something a little different I think it's a perfect solution.
