We have 1.5, 3, 6, 12, 15 and 25 foot hdmi cables tossed in a tote. Same with toslink, analog, patch cables ect. How are you guys organizing these things. I'm really interested in service type vehicles. It's easy to put them into bins or trays in an install van, but what about something semi portable.

I have mine on a shelf/tray, HDMI is separate from analog and they are in order of length.

I keep planet waves for my analog needs. I try not to keep too many cables on the van. I usually pull from stock for each install. I have a shelf lined with blue parts bins, one for a few data, a few hdmi, a few tos link, a few 3.5mm. I've found that too many cables wind up getting lost.

Pegboard. The access door is useless, so my the van looks and works as a retail space. All cables are sorted by type / length on hooks behind the cab.

Totes for each. 3m< and >3M
Because of the different packages totes are easier for me.

I do keep some HDMI's in a systainer.

Part of downsizing to a transit is pulling parts for each job every morning, which i mostly did anyway.

Keeps the truck cleaner. All small parts get loaded into a systainer the night before and brought in. Keeps truck runs during the day to a minimum

3 cheap plastic containers from home depot will fit in each bag. So you get 12 per big carry bag. We have 2 of these and a 3 bag unit.

Makes it easy to carry a lot of stuff into the house.
