I'll preface this by saying that I run a small CI company. 3 FT, 1 PT, a girl in the office 2X week, myself and my partner. I think the size of the company plays a huge role in what you use.. To answer your question tho, I use google calendar along with G Tasks and we also host our email thru gmail, which for us has been super convenient! Any adjustments someone makes to their calendar show up on my main calendar and vice versa. You can set up alerts via phone/email/text/desktop. It's a nice easy way to keep track of your guys hours. And because it's google based everything is very easily searchable. It's very convenient to be able to sit at the desk and reply to emails, set up lists and tasks using gtasks, and adjust the schedule for the upcoming weeks all using googles services, that most of us were using previously and were comfortable with already. Get to a job and on the laptop or ipad/phone and everything is right there, automatically updated ..

Thanks, It's a 1- 10 person store. Google calendar is what is being used now currently. Not the correct way. Maybe some correct app addons will make it better. I will look into G Tasks

In google calender. It seems that you can only make up seperate calendars for each employee. Is that true or not? Can you have a day view of the calendar and have your employee names at the top and block off the time during the day? Something simple. Like what a Hair Salon would use to book their employee for the day.
I will look into Outlook and Exchange next.
