"That's not going to hold without a stud," my SO said. "Don't worry," I replied. "I've got half inch toggle bolts."

Picture included in link. People are crazy!

Toggle bolts or Togglers? I bet two togglers would have held that up.

4 snap toggles for sure, 2 of the spring toggles or snap toggles is too daring for my taste.

That looks like it could/should be the cover of a Yes album.

Based on the photo it looks like they were using an articulating mount like this:

Or the idiot only put in 2 toggle bolts across one of these:

If it was an articulating mount then the togglers would have ended up on the floor just like the toggle bolts did imo.

I agree!

No stud,no articulating mount!

Togglers are fantastic for sheer loads in drywall.

Add some pullout leverage and the drywall WILL fail!

PeterN, your comments are NOTHING compared to the comments in the thread! They're fantastic.

About a hundred lines down the subject had morphed quite a bit and I found this:

Nope. If you say "Nothing" I'll assume you're lying, but I'll also assume that it's not worth the effort to drag it out of you.
I don't sleep on the couch after an argument, because f*ck that.
And the last time my wife said "Do whatever you want" I came home with a brand new truck.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

That would be a good picture for an ad... you can install it... or hire a professional...
