Hi guys,

Im a first time poster and would like your opinion on an install.
Would you suggest installing a PSX-2 in conjuction with a 5th gen ipod?
My client has the URC MX 5000 and im concerned with the connectivity issues I may have with the ipod 8 pin input. Will the 30 pin to 8 pin apple adapter work on the PSX2 or is there a more convenient workaround?

Thank you

We had trouble doing it like that with an iPhone 5. Urc tech support said it should've worked. Could have been a phone issue. This was on a boat in our Florida location. I'm not sure of the outcome, but I find out.At this point, I would rather install an appletv or airport express and use airplay. Unless the customer has an iPod classic that will live on the dock.

Thats too bad, the PSX2 seemed like a worth while option. If I had confirmation an 8 pin 5th gen Ipod touch worked fully, id consider it but based on your experience, its becoming more of a possible problem than a soluition. Do you recall how the iphone responded when you tried it? Was is it irresponsive on all levels? Id appreciate anyone's input on this subject
Thanks Duct tape for your reply
