This movie (Bad Words) is great. Unfortunately it is not child friendly. As we were watching it my fiancé put the kibosh on movie night because there was a sex scene, my 16yo was fine, but she thought it was inappropriate for the 9yo.
So she stands up, shuts off the receiver; I forgot I left passthrough on so there was the movie- still playing. Poor fiancé is standing in front if the TV trying to block it with her arms and body. The kiddos- laughing hysterically.

I'm in the doghouse for a minute.

I saw that it was rated R and we watched Rio2 with my 8.9year old.
Sent her to bed afterwards and we watched Bad Words and then Last Vegas.
I liked all three movies, with Rio2 because I slept thru it and was refreshed for the other 2. At 4:11AM, Laura and I went to bed.

Damn, I forgot that in that movie marathon I also saw All is Lost.
Not a bad movie. I just hope that Redford wasn't paid by the line ( probably 10 words spoken).

Been on the fence with renting this movie. The preview makes it look hilarious but i kept wondering how long the "look im old and in a kids spelling bee" thing would keep me laughing.

Might have to see for myself.

Mac, get the movie. It's not a "got to have it on BD" kind of movie, but the movie itself is good for laughs.
I found it funnier than Tammy for example and on par with Identity Thief.

Combine these:
kids
bad words

Doesn't that sound like the most natural pair of things to keep apart? Or at least screen first?
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.
