Hey all!

After doing about 20 different google searches with every known combination of words, and entirely too many irellevant results...I need to come to my favorite sounding board for ideas...

A local hack has prewired a house for whole house audio. Apparently, after running short on speaker wire, he/they simply decided to run RG-59 Digital from the head-end to the remaining VC/Keypad locations (2 runs each).

I know the cheap hack way to convert the RG-59 to speaker for use, but does anyone have any ideas or sources for a nice, pre-made adapter to go from coax (either F or RCA) to speaker bare ends?

Checked Tributaries website, among others, but can't find a nice looking, solid solution, that doesn't just involve alot of solder, tape and really small (line level) conductors.

Thanks!

We had some from MIT that were samples a few years ago.

[Link: audiotweaks.com], this might explain the why they thought it would be a good idea.
I wired a home theater many years ago with "one wire" solution, which I am sure was from MIT wire, but I can't find anything on their web site, I also was shown, about a year ago, Synergistic research "AV Matrix" which was a coax wire you were supposed to use for everything. I don't remember if they showed a Speaker adapter.
I do know that the MIT wire system did have coax to speaker banana's or spades.

Good luck
