I would like to buy a via touchpad. this is what I would like to do..keeping in mind everythng must be wireless. I want to see who is at front door thru a via touchpad.
controll all lights and thermostat as well as utilize my existing phone to talk to door visitors.I also would like to have streaming mp3's music in every room thanks for any help or where you can point me to buying some of this stuff

I would HIGHLY recomend you finding an installer in your area. this is alot of work and is very unlikely you can do it on your own...

VIa is not wirless yet ..and when it is it wont have video.

It will be very expensive becaus you have to invest in a lighting control system, Music server, cameras, remote control video switchers, sequential switches, video phone system, Controller, security system, amplifiers, speakers, misc. audio and video components.
I just priced a similar system for house of 3200 square feet with 6 touchpanels for $31,000. Your system would most definetly be more. Just to let you know what price range you are looking at.
My advice would be to contact a dealer to install program and maintain your system. This is a lot of work for a good audio and video installer. Good luck.
