Controller 3.2.1 with create a new group was added.

First, take a look under default group to see your WAP is there. Alway jot down the MAC address on a piece of paper for reference while on site. Then move the WAP with matching MAC to group you want to be on.

When you guys do different job sites with Unifi AP's, are you using the amazon service for remote management, or just using the controller software on your laptops?

With the new unifi controller 3.2.1. You can have mutiple sites. So I installed it on a computer at home and using that for all my unifi installs. The nice thing is once I have the ap adopted to it, I can use a iPad or my iphone to check the system.

I've been thinking about using old laptop or mini PC that I can throw in my own automation closet to run 24/7 for UniFi controller, remote desktop (using TeamViewer in my case) and probably 12 other things that escape me right now.

Has anyone used something that's low power, cost effective for misc services like this?

Mike, did you guys ever figured out how much Amazon Cloud costs?
And, is that dependent on how many sites and/or APs you're running, or is the cost difference negligent because the data/CPU usage is relatively small?

When you're at client's house, you have to connect to your home PC, right?
In other words, you can't use your laptop's software since the AP's controller is installed/pointed to your home PC's IP, right?

If that's true, do you just VPN to home PC, use remote desktop such as TeamViewer or do something else?

I'm looking at doing something similar, so just looking for pointers. I only have 5 or so UniFi installations with between 1-3 APs in each.
