I appreciate Ernie's crusade. I want to promote good grammar.
I previously didn't care. I thought, "Whatever, it doesn't matter, I understand what the dude is trying to say." Now I feel differently. I appreciate civilization, and progress.
I've learned that humans haven't evolved in 5000 years. The progress that humans have made in that time is all learned. Don't backslide, move forward. Improve.
We're not more intelligent than men in the middle ages. We just have a better society.

I do business with Ernie. I periodically send out newsletters to my customers, and the first one I sent Ernie came back marked up.
In that case, I appreciated it, as it made my newsletters better. Since I haven't had one come back in a year and a half, I can only guess they've gotten better.

I feel there is a time and a place for everything and I think a public forum on the internet, unless specifically for grammar, is not the place to constantly correct it.
I can almost understand if someone is butchering the English language. Or if someone is consistently using the wrong word, it may be helpful to point that out. But occasional misuses of grammar are hardly and indication of degradation of society.

What is utterly hilarious about that is through everything he managed to get the actual 'degree' symbol in there.

That's the first thing that stood out when I read that hot mess too. It almost seems like he's trying to write exactly how he sees himself talking...minus some spelling errors here and there. I guess he doesn't "imagine" himself actually saying the word degrees when he says it:-)
You've got to trace what wires you can. "can't find it" can mean a lot of things, from "I'm too old for this shit" to "I've been through the entire attic and have followed that cable around under the eaves...[this just goes on and on until the thing is found]"
One of my favorite things to do is "investigate". Trying to figure out how a person you have never met did something. Or better yet it was a person you're familiar with and you have an inside scoop nobody else has. Or even better yet, doing a job with you're new company that you did previously with another company.
Don't read my answer. Someone else will go into great detail as to why I am wrong rather than answer the original question...

This is certainly one of the funniest things I've read lately and is a great response for someone with so little class that they feel they must publicly shame you for any minor mistake you make.
