Have any of you guys had any experience with the "iscanHD" by DVDO. Its obviously a video scaler. If so what did you think?, If not what type of scalers do you like? Thanks.

check it out at www.dvdo.com.

I know nothing about it except that I keep reading the advertisement and it has me intrigued.

NIce piece. Easies system integrations and provides a good amount of flexability, especially for the buck. Improves upon sat signals and connected to a SDI dvd player provides a really exceptional image.

Not without its faults but I bought one for my place.

I have been using "auto", and later "power" for a pseudo discrete off with this unit, has anyone found discrete power codes for the HD? How about basic rs232 power and input strings?

Some of the RS232 is on teh website. Go to support and try to download the beta firmware. Fill in your email address and you will get a popup for the firmware anda popup for the rs232 in PDF.

We use the DVDO on most of our jobs, the 232 strings are long and cumbersome but work well, the easiest thing for power is select an input for power on and select an input followed by power for off, The last one Installed had lost the Component inputs but came back on the firmare update, currently 1.31, I believe it ships with 1.10 in it now. they just lowered the price on it as well to 1,199, killer price for the unit
