I have a client that wants a new C band receiver to hook to an existing dish. We will be controlling with a Crestron system, so we need RS232 control. My question is has anybody used a C band receiver that works well with Crestron via 232? Thanks for the help.
I did quite a few C-band dishes back in the day on crestron systems..... Several Motorola boxes, cant think of the others off hand... (GI perhaps?) anyway, drop me an email and I'll try to dig up the ole' crestron archive tomorrow and take a peek... dunno if any of those old boxes are going to be current models though.....
I just checked. Neither the 4DTV or the GI have RS-232. I don't know what kind of programming your customers wants but check this site and see if they have anything you could use http://www.atlanta-digital.com/.
I'm always right. The only time I was wrong was the time that I thought, that I was wrong.
a 100c was designed to be used in distance learning applications. it is a commercial quality c/ku receiver. it also is designed to operate with a computer interface. this product is no longer made. i do have one if you are interested.
