I am getting conflicking info for the technical folks a Infocus about the 12v trigger. My understanding is that the projector will send out a continuous 12v signal while powered up, and turn it off when powered down. However, the Infocus folks said it is a momentary 12v trigger. I would really appreciate it if anyone can clear this up.
Thanks,
Mike

I might be mistaken cause its been awile but i think the last InFocus projectori installed I used the 12volt output for status on an Intellicontroll. but i dont remember if there was a setting to change it to continuous.

Continuous. When you shut the projector off it cuts the signal. Used it for automating screen drop and projector lift.
5700 and 7200 I have checked this on. Didn't try it ont the 7205 from last week.

I will bet that it is not momentary. A trigger cannot be momentary unless a complementary momentary trigger is sent to indicate power down. That would be way more expensive than just draining a bit of current from the power supply when it is on, so, again, I will bet they did not make it that way.
Plus they would get complaints about how much more expensive it is to utilize two momentary signals like that. Their salespeople would react by shouting at the factory, so if they ever try it, it will be short-lived.

It is continuous. I just installed one controlling a motorized screen. Momentary events work with logic controlled switches, not often found with motorized screens. SOmfy uses momentary switches for some of their RF devices.
