I hope they don't so all this soccer crap goes away and I can get into my favorite bars/ restaurants easier.

can't see why it would change anything. My guess if someone is a soccer fan (rooting for US or not) they will continue watching since the world cup is the biggest thing in soccer, and anyone that was not a soccer fan was never watching to begin with.

Does the massiveness of the super bowl (or any other sport you are into) depend on what teams are playing in it? Do you know of anyone that would say "my team got eliminated so now I won't bother to watch it"
