I posted a few weeks back a question about how a Lutron QED system worked with a non-Lutron power supply. A few helpful replies were received but none helped explain how the system worked with the non-Lutorn PS.

A QED shade has the following wiring:
1 Mux Common
2 Mux Power DC 12v
3. Mux low
4. Mux high
5 AC
6 AC
7. Earth ground

We can ignore pins 1-4 as we're only concerned with powering the shade not its rectified power and low voltage control link.

A Lutron power supply has 2 24v AC outputs and an Earth ground. Measure ground to either tap and it measures 12v AC. Measure each power output to each other and it measures 24v AC. How then to connect a common 24v power supply to this shade system when there are only 2 connections, 24v and return?

Wire one pole to pin 5 and an other pin to pin 6. Pin 7 is not wired to the supply but any earth ground, as it the metal electrical box if BX is used to power the line side of the transformer, or the ground wire, or the metal screws of the transformer.

Sadly, I cannot confirm this but it's as close to logical as I can determine.
