Are there any AV Receivers still out there with switched outlets built in? Just browsed denon/yamaha/marantz/onkyo and couldnt find any after looking at a half dozen models at each site.

On the lower models, yes. Still have them on the upper ones. I hate that they removed these on most models.

Look at NAD, they had some at CEDIA with switched outlets.

What, specifically, do you want this for?

You knew I was gonna ask.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Why switched outlet?

Most of devices now have soft switch, meaning that even if you apply power, the device is still in the off state.

It took me a while to find non-soft switched coffee maker so I could put it on a switched UPB outlet.

There's two of us. Must be a good question.

SPK-1 AB switch is triggered by a switched outlet. Would have been nice if it were on the AV Receiver but since it isn't I ordered an APC-2. When the receiver turns on the APC-2 will sense it and switch on the outlet that the Spk-1 is connected to and that will cause it to switch from a to b.

I know the above paragraph could use a dozen more words but if you read my other responses you can fill in the blanks.

I have only used them for doorbell override, so I don't know how it would work for sustained play.

No, there's an official camera supplier for Bigfoot and UFO videos and they used one of those.
