I am having mixed results because of the plane of the coffee table and height of the plasma IR receiver and want to go the RF route. Any issues with connecting the RF base emitter output directly to the Xantech block? How about the directionality or plane of the signal propagation? I am thinking of putting it (RF base) in the crawl space directly below the floor between the user and the components. What about using it outdoors (an MX800)? Should it (RF base) be located in a weatherproof box and external or will it work inside an outside wall that has the usual chicken wire stucco construction? Has anyone noticed or measured the free line-of-site range of the pair? Thanks to all for any insight.
