I use parallels with the RadioRa2 software with no issues. I have found that if it ever does give some headache, switching to a hard lined LAN connection instead of WiFi usually solves the problem.

I just upgraded versions of VMware and had issues also.
Double check your network adaptor for the VM. I prefer to be hard wired also and give the VM a dedicated connection, not shared/bridged.
Can the VM open Internet explorer?

there is a Known issues with Illuminations and a recent windows security update.
It did not sound like they were in a hurry to fix it. I had to do a 100+ device dual processor system update via serial last month... Was not happy.

If you go to resi they have a work around for it. Basically it has to do with windows explorer 11 If you can regress to explorer 10 then it will work again fine.
Failing that download latest software from Lutron and do an O/S update on the processor
