Wondering if anyone has any experience/success with Comcast Xfinity X1 home DVR system on a large property with 2 separate buildings?

Wondering about distance limitations for the guest house from the main house and ability to have 2 TVs in the guest house on a single cable feed from the main house?

Ideal - Main house 2 TVs, one of which has the central DVR
Guest house 2 client TVs connected from the main house.

Currently there's a single RG11 between the main house and guest house, about 600'. (....and multi-strand fiber for the LAN).

Give it a try, you can always return it and make it work with Tivo.

As I read it, you want cable in two buildings. The cable company can do that. If they can wire a community, they can wire two buildings on a property, even a large one.

Do you mean have one DVR feed signals to both buildings? Does that system allow more than one DVR? Just wondering. And it seems like it's the cable company's place to say it will work, or not, and make it work if it can.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

The info I've read on the X1 shows it does support some IP clients. If your scenario will be using the IP clients then I would expect the limitations would be based on the underlying infrastructure (moca, cat5/6, fiber, etc.)and the whole home dvr application(latency, etc.). To IP, it's just another packet and IP has been supporting "campus" enviroments with multiple buildings for years. I would think Comcast would use the fiber lan connection rather than moca in this configuration.
