customer has multipurpose rooms that divide... we always do displays on the "static" walls however in this new round of projects they want displays on both.

Customer is insisting on Panels not projection..

Flip down TV lifts are an option but they are going to ad up fast with 4-6 of these per room.

However I have seen these tack systems... motorized and manual... any recommendations.

I know of http://www.trak-kit.com/ but that's it... it's also a commercial application and will be moved 1-3 times a day normally. Thats why manual was a thought as the guys need to moved the manual dividers so might as well have a manual TV track and not have motor service issues above a ceiling.

thanks in advance

Im thinking about something like this for my Florida place.

I will be doing it with off the shelf parts.
Ed will be known as the Tiger Woods of the integration business, followed closely with the renaming of his company to "Hotties A/V". The tag line will be "We like big racks and tight holes"...

I've done it. We used a track kit intended for pocket doors, you might even be able to match the existing wall track system. The door guys installed it and I hung the TV on it. Since the back wasn't visible, I just had them hang a 2'x3' piece of ply, and used a normal locking mount. You could also do a pole mount off a small platform attached to the hangers.

I agree on the manual version, far simpler and more reliable. In an office, someone will inevitably try and push the TV by hand and break the system, even when it's supposed to be able to handle that.

The hard part was dealing with cable management. I used cable carrier chain, I can't remember the exact brand but it was german. Lots of testing and adjusting, but once we had it right it worked very well for years.
