Im working on making a more snug fit. If anyone has any ideas to make them fit tighter then I would appriciate it. I didn't realize how difficult it would be to make a cover fit tight and not interrupt the buttons. So far this is the best i have, but I'm working on making them better.

I think I'd rather have the scratches, dirt and damage!

This should be in the marketplace forum. I always hated vinyl covers for cell phones. Stuff like that shouldn't get damaged if it is used properly and cleaned regularly. When will the vinyl covers come out for our cars so we can drive down the road without getting dirty? LOL

My Italian grandmother use to cover the furniture in those!
Keep designing, could be a good idea.

Hey McNasty,
I hate to totally ruin your day BUT they already do have the vinyl covers for cars!! :)
I swear to god...
I live in the Metro detroit area and when one of the Big 3 automakers wants to get some real driving done on a test vehicle they cover it in this crazy looking vinyl. They make the car look like a cross between Mad Max and a bullet proof vest. Allegedly, they use them so that you can't really get a good look at what the new design is.
I'll do ya one better even, on occasion you'll actually see them with zebra stripes.
And they still look better than that remote control cover. Not trying to hurt your feelings Mr. Freeze but they do need some modification.

I recall the TS-1000's leather case... the thing was SNUG - fit like a literal glove (a lot of work to put on the first time without crushing the remote!).

OK...OK...I have been working hard on a new design for the covers. This new design does not work on the charger, but it fits like a glove. Most of the front is the clear plastic and the rear is black simulated leather (black vinyl). The inside is a felt material to help slide the remote in and protect it a little more if dropped. I'm pleased with it, but will always be working on improvement. [Link: geocities.com]

Mr Freeze. I agree with others before that a good remote treated well will not need a cover. Also the fact is that some people don't treat their remotes very well at all Having to remove the cover to use the docking station really makes it unappealing. I would definitely find another way to accomplish this.
I'd be more interested in a disposable one that can be thrown away every so often. Anybody?........... Anybody? BTW... It is illegal to throw around the words "patent pending" if your aren't really filed for patent pending status. And yes, I do know someone in the industry that was busted for faking patent protection on some products. If you really are then hey, no problem. Good luck with it.
