Dozens and dozens installed and just about every customer needs to reboot occasionally, actually often. "Not connect to network". A restart and all is good, for a while, sometimes a week, sometimes a month.

ALL configurations: static, dhcp, DHCP reservations, wifi. Have tried all combos and the net result is the same.

Ive read this is not that uncommon.

Are you finding similar issues? Is there a fix? All units are always updated to latest firmware.

Simply little trick I hope?

Many primitive computer devices are "cured" of their "temporary" problems by unplugging and replugging. This is so real that there's a t shirt about it!

Perhaps this product is best dealt with by unplugging it.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Ya, I like the humor.

But not an option. For the few that go for it, they at least have an app to reboot the POS via a wattbox lol.

I can only speak to the one I have in my home, but I've rarely had to reboot it. I can only think of twice in the last couple of years or so, not counting any of the updates where it gets rebooted. I should probably also say that I use mine sporadically. Sometimes daily...other times it will be 2-4 weeks before I even turn it on again.

Interestingly enough, both times were because it wasn't able search any of the Netflix menus. The messages I was getting made me think it was a Netflix problem, but rebooting AppleTV fixed it both times.

Yep, have one house that has three in it. One if them, for whatever reason wouldn't allow the WAP (packedge) that is next to it, to broadcast. I did a "restart" and all problems went away. I don't understand why, but this is the second time that has happened at that house with the same Apple TV.
My IT guy said something about Apple TV using " Bonjour" to operate on and that more than two in a system causes problems.
He said that, not me! I have no idea!
why have a nice system if you cant operate it, program the remote the right way the FIRST time!

Restarting Apple TV to do updates is very common. I have to restart dozens of those boxes, including my own.

Could this be your problem...

FWIW I always try to put them on a wire even if I'm responsible for the network.

I have this issue on several projects. I can't find a rhyme or reason but would love to know what's going on.

A lot of service calls related to a non - functioning Apple TV ( over the last few months ) . Getting kind of tired of it . Looking at Roku or Amazon Fire Tv as a possible replacement .

We have them in clients homes and i have two at home. They all require rebooting. Some have required me to pull them from the rack and reload them manually.

This reminds me of the guy at verizon complaining about his samsung. "It's best to reboot it every day" said the pimple face "expert".

LOL reboot it every day should be the industry motto.
